今天的大地震，讓我從早到晚一直收到世界各地Servas會友的關切訊息，一方面覺得感動，一方面在想如何反敗為勝，不要讓外國人覺得台灣是座危島，以後不敢來，而是儘管有地震，但是台灣很安全，找到一段影片，發文如下，供大家參考

Thank you for your concern. My family and I are fine. Currently, we didn’t hear any bad news from Servas members. Travellers in Taiwan are well too.
This earthquake mainly hit Hualien, East Taiwan, where two buildings tilted and several people died. There were no problems in other areas, and everyone quickly returned to normal life.
The film below showed how this 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan shaked the bridge in Taipei, our capitial, in North Taiwan, and people commuting to work were calm and just stopped for a while, not panic at all. Fortunately, our infrastructure is good enough. There was no damage on this bridge. We know we will have earthquake sometimes, so we prepare what we can do to reduce number of dead and injured. This earthquake caused 9 dead and 1102 injured currently. Compared with the same manitude earthquake, it may cause 10 thousand people die. We are very lucky. Thanks God.
